Jennifer Bechak is a multidisciplinary artist exploring where natural and unnatural worlds collide. Bechak studied at the University of Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts, earned her BFA from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and MA & MFA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
As an artist and nature devotee, she is interested in synthetic as well as natural environments- how they are formed, what ignites the interest in molding a replication or replacement of a natural system already in place and the interaction of real and phantasmagoric. Utilizing a wide variety of materials, from glass to wood to rubber to wax to clay, Bechak explores and touches on the environment that surrounds us.
