Jennifer Bechak is an artist exploring where natural and unnatural worlds collide. Bechak studied at the University of Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts, earned her BFA from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and MA and MFA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
As an artist and nature devotee, Bechak is interested in synthetic as well as natural environments - how they are formed, what ignites the interest in molding a replication or replacement of a natural system already in place and the interaction between the real and unreal. Utilizing a wide variety of materials, from wood to rubber to steel to wax to clay, Bechak explores and touches on the environments that surround us.
